Location
The village of Courson is situated 10km from Vire, a large market town with many interesting buildings and museums and approximately 15km from the world famous copper manufacturing town of Villedieu-les-Poeles with its many museums, including its famous working bell foundry and copper works.
While La Porte is skirted by many large towns, it could not be more remote. If you seek peace, quiet and the chance to see native wildlife then La Porte will provide the perfect holiday.
Alternatively, the forest of St Sever is close and is great for walking and cycling or go horse riding, play golf, go fishing or have a swim in the local swiming pool.
For the more adventurous holiday maker there is bungy jumping and paint ball.
If want a break from cooking then visit one of the many restaurants.
Or ... after your long day site seeing, return to La Porte, relax and enjoy a pre booked Normandy Cream Tea.
